"The Lame"

This story is to me is very tragic. it's sad because i feel that his father did try to help his son become better as a person and be more unselfish, but in the process of doing that he cared for the boy that did have anything at all, showing his son how not to be selfish and it ended up destroying his life. His son's life. he really couldn't see that the things that he was doing was hurting his family. he entrusted that little boy in his house and he turned on him like that. what i got from this story is that you need to really sit back and observe before taking action. Sheppard should have realized that he was messing up way before he did. it was pitiful. sometimes when you think people need your help they really don't and sometimes are better left without it.
